i got nothing

Is it Friday yet?? This week is dragging. I just want to go home and sit by our Christmas tree with the pugs.

This is my favorite picture of Phoebs. She rules.

I'm meeting up with my awesome friend/web master extradinare this weekend to finalize everything for the new blog. I'm hoping to have it up within the next week. I can't launch it fast enough. Have I mentioned how much I hate this purple blog? Over. It.

That's all I got. I'm boring today. Sorry.

cyber monday!

Happy Cyber Monday friends!

It was super hard to get up this morning and ya know why?? FLANNEL SHEETS! These will kill you! They are so warm and snugly, it's impossible to roll out of bed. Throw a couple of pugs in the mix and you're doomed to over-sleep.

If you're on Weight Watchers, did you see their new revamped plan?

"Essentially we are retiring the Points plan — you can't mix the new system with the old one." The patent-pending formula to calculate the new PointsPlus values is based on the amount of protein, fiber, carbohydrates and fat in foods, Miller-Kovach says. The formula takes into account that protein and fiber are important for fullness and warding off hunger. It also factors in how hard the body has to work to process food into energy, she says. The body has to work harder to use protein and fiber than fat and carbohydrates."

So there ya go. Not for me, but this is awesome news if you're a ww member.

Have a great cyber Monday. Feel free to leave a comment bragging about the amazing deals you got today.

The big Christmas tree lighting ceremony {aka Christmas in Rockefeller Center} happens tomorrow night at 7pm. I can't believe Christmas is HERE.

come check out my tree

Hi guys! We're just winding down from a long and wonderful weekend. This morning I nixed spin class and went for an 8 mile run instead. It was beautiful but super chilly out. I made sure to layer up and wear my running gloves. After my run, I showered, got a blow out {thanks to the Hair Cuttery & their cheapo prices,} met my friend Amber for lunch, followed by a trip to the mall. I'll tell you what I got tomorrow. Right now it's all about our CHRISTMAS TREE!

I am officially done decorating our crib. I just finished up with the tree. Ahhh. She's so purdy.

What do you think? Not bad for a fake one huh?

We put it up yesterday but I decorated earlier this evening. I love it.

Christmas is truly the best time of year. I can't help but smile, I even think there's a little pep in my step too :0)

Once upon a time I was a brunette. Yes, me, Lisa "the blonder the better" Paige.

I LOVE pointsettias. We bought 13 at Home Depot. They have the best prices around for these little red gems.

My friend Danielle tipped me off about hanging a wreath over a mirrow {bc that's what she does.} What a brilliant idea! Why didn't I think of that? As soon as we parted ways, I went strait to where else?? PIER 1!  Can't beat a wreath that not only matches the color of your family room, but is also 25% off. Who am I to turn down a sale? In the midst of my Christmas decorating process, I found myself being very picky with the stuff I was putting up. I'm not a knick-knack kinda girl. I like classy and simple decor. Half the crap I've put up in past years didn't make the cut this year. I like this new minimal cleaner look. I'm going with it.

We're just relaxing now. Slow cooker Sunday was yet another success. Second week in a row we had stuffed peppers. We love our pepps. Hope you're enjoying your last day of freedom vacation.

Talk to ya on the radio tomorrow!

PS- Don't forget to check Lifetime and The Hallmark Channel for our favorite Christmas movies! My dvr is going to expolode with all the specials I have scheduled to record.

string those lights!

Happy Black Friday! Who's been up since 3am shopping? Not me. Hell no. We're going to KOP tomorrow. Today is my big Christmas decorating extravaganza.

I had planned on running this morning, but it's raining out and I'm a wimp like that. I opted to do an hour on my elliptical and caught up on my shows. Did you catch Oprah's Favorites part 1 & 2? WTF? As I was watching O hook the audience up with camera's, watches and a 7 day cruise, I found myself getting jealous pissed annoyed. Why am I watching this? Clearly I'm just envious. Boy, did that audience hit the jackpot that day. After three years of being on Oprah's wait list, my friend finally got to attend a show taping. She said it was crazy to see how everything works behind the scenes.

Before my workout, I had an eggwhite {in a mug} sandwich with cheese and hot sauce. It totes hit the spot. Oh, and an eggnog coffee with eggnog creamer. I was in eggnog heaven. Yum.

Protein overload. Yum. The hot sauce gives it a little kick.

We're putting the Christmas decorations today, even the tree! I think this year we're going to do 2 trees!! Speaking of trees, tonight is our town's Christmas tree lighting. We're going, can't miss that! Stu called a Christmas light decorating company. Yup, they specialize in blinging out people's houses. They hang lights everywhere and then return in January to take them all down. I have a feeling my house is going to look like a scene from of Chevy Chase's Christmas vacation when they're done with it. Omg, could you imagine?

I love this movie. We watch it every year.

Who else is decorating today? What's your favorite part about decorating?? Mine is blasting Christmas music and burning Yankee Candle "Mistletoe" tarts.

thanksgiving '10

Holy carb coma. Good thing I took a spin class this morning. Hope you had a blessed day with friends and family. I did! Here are some pic's.

the calm before the carb coma induced storm.

Stu's Aunt Debbie (she made 99% of our din, and for that we are SO thankful), Stu's cousin Colleen, Aunt Peggy, cousin Ali, cousin Kirsten, step mom-in-law Sue, and me. BEFORE DIN.

MY PLATE. I tried to practice portion control, "tried" being the operative word here. The older I get, the more I love turnips.

Dessert time. BRING IT!

I told you I took the easy way out and bought a sheet cake. Thank you Whole Foods. It was flippin' delicious. I went back for seconds. I know, shocking.

IMG_2685 Best $6.99 I've spent in a long time. Kirsten always makes the best cranberry orange and pumpkin bread. I sampled a small slice of each {obviously.}

IMG_2699 Every year after dessert we take the dogs and go for a walk around the hood. This year Stu's grampa joined us. As the girls walked the dogs, the guys tossed a football, the.entire.time.

Three generations. Stu-ball, his grampa and his dad! What a good looking bunch!

hey, Uncle Bill decided to get in on my picture action.

I forgot my sneakers this year. Thankfully my boots were comfortable enough to walk the mile loop.

Notice my new blonder locks?? I love my new hair girl, Audra. There's nothig better than fresh highlights. I am definitely thankful for Audra, lol.

IMG_2702 Family pic :0)

I can't believe another Thanksgiving has come and gone. I am so thankful and blessed to have such a wonderful family and friends {and blog readers like you!}

Decorations go up tomorrow, woot woot!

Do you guys want me to post more pic's?? And of what?

I'm asking "Santa" for a new camera and when if I get it, I know I'm gonna go banana's with it, so just be ready, ha! Have a great night. xo

are you a bitch?

Here's yet another list for your reading pleasure. This time it's from

My scary bitchy face

Don't piss me off or I might be extra nice to you {cause that whole "kill them w/kindness" thing always works.}

I love tip #2: "Take a coffee break with friends or coworkers rather than going solo. A study found that getting a caffeine fix in a group lowered stress levels. But sipping coffee alone left people feeling more stressed."

Peppermint mocha anyone?

save the date for a great cause

Monday, December 13th @7pm

Triumph Brewery in New Hope, PA

Oh joy! It's a holiday "tweet-up/tweet drive, " and for a great cause too. If you live in the area, come out and join my twitter buds @BucksHappening, @VisitBucksPA and @HolidayTweetDrive for a fun night of drinks, prizes and holiday music.

More about the Holiday Tweet Drive

The Holiday Tweet Drive is a nation-wide toy/clothing drive that will use social media to give back to children who are less fortunate and spread some Holiday cheer along the way.

We have some amazing events lined up in cities all across the country that will host each toy drive and allow attendees to enjoy a night of networking and holiday festivities. All of the updates and communication can be found through Twitter and we hope to stay true to the social nature of the “Tweet” Drive.

What makes our Tweet-Ups different then the rest is the admission fee. Rather than paying a small entrance fee, we only ask that you donate a NEW toy or NEW article of clothing. After that, please enjoy networking with our other attendees! Each donation will go to a local shelter or charity from each city.

We Hope you will join us at your city’s Tweet Drive Tweet Up, and assist us in giving back to children who are less fortunate all around the country. With that said, Happy Tweeting, Happy Networking, and most importantly, Happy Holidays from all of us involved with the Holiday Tweet Drive.

Holiday tweet drives are happeing all over the country. AWESOME!!

couldn't wait

Happy "Thursday!" For most of us, tomorrow is our "Friday." I love 3 day weeks.

It took a lot for me to not dig our the Christmas decorations over the weekend. It seems like everyone is decorating super early these days. This weekend is when we'll put everything up; the garland along the stairs railing, candles in the windows and most importantly, the tree! Truth be told, I had to light something to satisfy my Christmas decorating craving.

Taaaa-dahhhhh!! Cute lights around the window in our little kitchen nook. Btw, that's the couch we are replacing with the new beige one. Sorry this pic is so dark. The flash didn't help.

Are you braving the crowds on Black Friday? Not me. I don't have the patience.
