let's go shopping

Happy Saturday!

I got up early, had breakfast and then met Danielle for an 9am spin class. After class, we met up with Angela at Starbs. Ang and I have been dying to try a peppermint mocha. For the past 3 weeks, this stupid drink has been the bain of our existence. Today was the day we tasted it, and omg, it was definitely worth the calories. Wowzas. Christmas-ey goodness in my mouth. I'll be going back for another tonight this week.

Rewind to yesterday.

Before we started decorating, I had to make an impromptu trip over to Target. Stu says to me "Black Friday at Target?". My response? "We can do it babe, we'll power through." To be honest with you, Targs wasn't all that bad. Guess our expectations were too high. The toy and electronic areas were the most packed, everywhere else in the store was pretty calm. I made a bee line over to the Christmas section, but my attention was quickly diverted when we approached the candy and snack area.

Oh yes, peppermint oreos. 140 calories for 2. I'll pass.

tons of candy. yummmm.

My favorite. Candy cane tootsie pops. I always have extras in my purse. Ya know, just in case.

We're making progress.

I always make sure I  have "emergency gifts. These cookie mixes are perfect. In the cart they go.

Why not make it 11 creamers? Don't judge.

And we're done. Mission accomplished.

Last night our town held it's official Christmas tree lighting. There were Christmas carolers, hot chocolate and of course Santa. He arrived on top of a fire truck. Kids everywhere were going nuts. It was adorable. I swear, this was a scene strait out of a Lifetime. Phoebe and Miles were a huge hit with all the kiddos. Kinda made me want one or two little one's of my own. After the festivities died down, we went to dinner and then to the movies. We saw "Unstoppable." Not exactly the greatest movie to see if you commute in on a train every day, haha. It was really good. We like it a lot.

We're relaxing now, and then it's off to KOP for some Christmas shopping. Speaking of the KOP mall, did you know they have an iphone app?? YES!! Just download it, it's free {& fabulous.}

Hope you're having a great weekend.

running boston yo!

Wowzers!! What a weekend! As you know, Stu-bee {Stu's new name courtesy of Lenny,} and I went up to Boston to visit my sis, Lenny and Elle.

We got back to NY around 10 last night and crashed at Chris'. It was easier than going all the way home, only to come back 7 hours later ya know? Perks of sleeping in the city? Sleeping in til 8:30, woo hoo!

Anyway, the weekend was super fun. Linds and I did a lot of stuff on our own, while the boys bar hopped, chilled and laid around watching football.Yesterday we ran in the 2nd Annual Fattman Chilli Half. The race started at 7:30, but were were late to the start because we were waiting in line to use the bathrooms. There was no way I was going in the woods. Hell no. Anyway, Lindsay set a new PR time and shaved 6 mns off her previous time. I'm so happy for her. I managed to set a new pr, but only by 40 seconds. Whatev, I'll take it. I can always try again this weekend in the Philly half right???

13.1- 1:53:10 avg pace- 8:33. Stu's working on my full stat re-cap as we speak. I'll post later.

After our run, Linds and I came home to find the guys still in their pj's watching football and eating cheese and crackers, shower. Then we went to lunch at this cute Mediterranean place called "Garlic 'N Lemons," and had veggie roll ups with couscous. Delish! After our meal, we headed over to Harvard Square where all the smart people hang, went to Urban Outfitters, GAP, a cute little cafe, and the candy shop. Fun.

The whole weekend was a blasty. I wish we lived closer to each other. I took a ton of pic's and will post them tonight.

Of course I can't go to another city and NOT stop at Target. We got stupid, but more on that later.

Img_2530Doesn't Lindsay make a fantastic tree? Notice the mother wreath she's wearing?? It can be yours for only $34.99. Better get to Target asap.

paula deen makes me scream!

We're going to the NY Food & Wine Festival in a few weeks and I can't wait. Last year we saw Sandra Lee do a demo. She was cute, but I have to admit, she wasn't our first choice. Tickets were all sold out to Paula Deen's show last year so we settled for Sandy {hate settling.} This year I refused to let that happen again so like a crazy woman, I ordered tickets back in April! My plan of attack worked and we got reserved seats to Paual Deen!

Who doesn't LOVE Paula Deen?? I want her to cook dinner at my house. I'll eat whatever she makes; butter, sugar and all.

Hiii Paula! Happy 5th Anniversary.

fashion's night out {re-cap}

Last night I attended King of Prussia's "Fashion Night Out" and it was everything I expected and then some. I met up with my fellow radio gals Nicole, GN and Joey. We had a blast. What a great way to kick off the FALL season.

Who needs football when you've got fashion????

Nicole and I

GN- She should of been in the show, not watching it.

Look, it's Joey! She's rules the momma blogging world.

And now, onto the fashion shizz-ow

The show was held outside of Bloomingdales in the court. It was packed {obviously.}

Now that we've got the FNO behind us, the next big event to look forward to is the Nordstrom Trend show {on 10/23!!}

Tickets are still available. How do I know this? Because I bought more last night. Call Nordies at 610-265-6111 asap. They'll even mail the tix strait to ya. Can't get much easier than that! When you call, ask for Amanda Sinon in cosmetics. She's a doll. I'm telling ya {like I do every year}, if you're a product whore junkie and live for make-up, this is a MUST see event. Trust your girl.

holy crap. it's semptember!

How's everyone doing on this lovely hump day? I intended on going for a 6 mile run this morning, but when I flipped on the tv at 5:15 and saw that the temp was already at 80, I decided to bail. After running in the cooler and more "crisp" temps last week, the thought of sweating 5 minutes into my run was a total off. I took my cardio workout down to our nice cool basement. I did 50 minutes on my elliptical and called it a day workout. Done and done.

Boston bound!

I booked our Amtrak tickets to Boston! We're going up to visit my sis and Lenny in November. We had such a great time last year. Can't wait to invade Bean town again. Remember some of these classic pic's?

When Lin's and I are together, we always make time to squeeze in a Whole Foods and Trader Joe's run. It's a must.

We get stupid at these stores. We also love us some pumpkin buttah

I had no clue what this was, it just looked good.

We ran along the Charles river, shopped on Newbury St, and ate. A lot.

I love Boston in the Fall.

the perfect pair

Thank you Levi's!! Thank you.

"All asses were not created equal."

Have you heard Levi's new "curve id" jeans campaign? This is glorious news for all! You can now go into any Levi's store and get custom fit jeans! How excited am I?? This means no more more baggy ass, muffin top or long hem lines. I can't wait to hit up the Soho location this week and get fitted. Woo Hoo!

While we're on the subject of clothing, check out this adorb v-neck sweater I got from Target last night. Guess how much it was???

Oh, and thanks for all the emails regarding the flannels.

I love Rachel Bilson. She can rock a mean flannel.

I recorded a vlog on my purchases from last night. Will post it tonight. Stu was on the computer doing his damn Fantasy draft so I was outta luck.

{This sweater also comes in navy blue with red strips AND a plain beige.}
