let's go shopping

Happy Saturday!

I got up early, had breakfast and then met Danielle for an 9am spin class. After class, we met up with Angela at Starbs. Ang and I have been dying to try a peppermint mocha. For the past 3 weeks, this stupid drink has been the bain of our existence. Today was the day we tasted it, and omg, it was definitely worth the calories. Wowzas. Christmas-ey goodness in my mouth. I'll be going back for another tonight this week.

Rewind to yesterday.

Before we started decorating, I had to make an impromptu trip over to Target. Stu says to me "Black Friday at Target?". My response? "We can do it babe, we'll power through." To be honest with you, Targs wasn't all that bad. Guess our expectations were too high. The toy and electronic areas were the most packed, everywhere else in the store was pretty calm. I made a bee line over to the Christmas section, but my attention was quickly diverted when we approached the candy and snack area.

Oh yes, peppermint oreos. 140 calories for 2. I'll pass.

tons of candy. yummmm.

My favorite. Candy cane tootsie pops. I always have extras in my purse. Ya know, just in case.

We're making progress.

I always make sure I  have "emergency gifts. These cookie mixes are perfect. In the cart they go.

Why not make it 11 creamers? Don't judge.

And we're done. Mission accomplished.

Last night our town held it's official Christmas tree lighting. There were Christmas carolers, hot chocolate and of course Santa. He arrived on top of a fire truck. Kids everywhere were going nuts. It was adorable. I swear, this was a scene strait out of a Lifetime. Phoebe and Miles were a huge hit with all the kiddos. Kinda made me want one or two little one's of my own. After the festivities died down, we went to dinner and then to the movies. We saw "Unstoppable." Not exactly the greatest movie to see if you commute in on a train every day, haha. It was really good. We like it a lot.

We're relaxing now, and then it's off to KOP for some Christmas shopping. Speaking of the KOP mall, did you know they have an iphone app?? YES!! Just download it, it's free {& fabulous.}

Hope you're having a great weekend.

Tonight I found peppermint whoopee pies at Trader Joes. I bought them and ate all three in the car. I kid, I kid, but I wanted to. They looked delish!

Melissa

Obviously you weren't at Target around 6:30am when the line was completely WRAPPED around the entire store for miles.

Stephanie

Prenatal Vitamins? Are you just upping your folic acid in preparation or I this a sneaky announcement.

sue

You know, I have nothing in common with you, I hate shopping etc, but I love your blog. Why, because you love life so much and have so much energy!! Who else would get so excited about Target, creamers and candy canes.

Reese

I totally agree with Sue. I'm not real into health food, i don't run, i don't wear make up and really don't shop unless i need something. But i love your blog. Your excitement and love for life just motivates me to do the things I love more. Thank you for that Lisa. Happy Holidays!!

Lisa Paige

Hey ladies-

Melissa, I would never in a million years attempt Target (or any store for that matter) at 6am on Black Friday. Hell to the no. We went around 2pm when the madness died down. Thank Gawd.

To Sue and Reese, THANK YOU so much. You really don't know how much it means to me to read your comments. I love that you love that I love Target, candy canes and creamers. I hope you guys do too :0) Really. It's the little things. Tonight, Stu and I were craving Wendy's fries, so here there we were like a couple of donkey's stuffing our faces with fries..mind you, this is at 10:00pm. We were so dead set on getting fries, nothing was going to stop us. They were awesome despite their staleness. Nonetheless, I was in french fry heaven and now I can go to bed a happy chick.

THANK you again for your sweeeeet comments. It made my whole night!!!!!!!!

Oh and to Stephanie- Anyone can take pre-natal vitamins. You don't have to be trying for a baby to take them. I've been popping them for the past 5 years..and look, no kid, haha.

Believe, you guys will know when I get knocked up.

Meghan

Can't believe you didn't snag some flannels while you were there...$8!!!

Christine

Love that you choose to be happy no matter what :) A great quality!! Love your blog and seeing pics of the dogs! Always puts a smile on my face - and sometimes I literally laugh out loud :)

LISSETTE LUGO

Hey Lisa!...What's up with the prenatal vitamins...do you have something to tell your fans...lol

Lisa Paige

Hi Christine-
Aww, well I try to always look on the positive side of things bc what's the point in always being a Debbie Downer ya know?

Lissette- GIRL, I wish I could tell the reason I was taking pre-natals was bc I was preggs, but that's not the case. I've been taking them for years. The folic acid is great for hair, skin and nails :0)

The Original Laura

The pre-natal vitamin is great, whether preggers or not. I, too, started taking a pre-natal after my favorite vitamin company (New Chapter) discontinued their "Every Woman" vitamin. I am no where near pregnant, but this vitamin is a nice supplement! Makes my hair grow! LP, hope your baby wishes come true :)
