starbs rut

Starbucks-latte

Starbucks called. They miss me.

I've hit a big ass brick wall with their drinks. Until Starbs can come out with some new sugar-free flavored syrups, I don't foresee myself resuming regular visits anytime soon. I can't take it anymore. I'm OVER the lattes and misto's.

Anyone else feel this way? Can they stop pumping out "strawberry soy frapps" and hook us up with a few new flavors other than caramel and vanilla?

get me to the beach

Happy Hump Day!

I'm up early. Gotta chug drink  my cuppa Joe before I get my run on.

I can't believe it's almost July. This weekend, we're going to my dad and Rob's house for a big 4th of July partay!!. They live on the beach, so the thought of relaxing in the sun and sand is getting me really excited. Should I bring my cute beach towels? My dad keeps insisting that we take the kayak out and paddle around. Umm, not sure how that's gonna go. We'd be in the water more than out of it. I've never kayaked in my life. Neither has Stu. That'll be a show! I'll give it a try despite that fact that I may humiliate myself in front of friends and family.

Ya know what I say??? Whooooofc!

What are YOU doing this weekend??

GET ME TO THE BEACH!

st. tropez review

Holy crap, today's been busy busy. Thank the Lord for my awesome intern Austin!!

-5

So I finally got the St.Tropez bronzing mousse yesterday. It's been sold out at Sephora for weeks. I ended up ordering it from drugstore.com last week because I was getting impatient. The tanning spray impressed me so much that I had to try the mousse. It seems like every you tube video I watch,  person I talk too loves the mousse. Who am I not to try it? Last night after I showered and applied the St. Tropez moisturizing lotion, I went for the mousse. This stuff smells delicious! You'd never know it was self tanner. NEVER! What's so appealing to me about St. Tropez is the whole "apply and then shower" feature. This makes it super easy. Just apply AT NIGHT, then shower off in the morn to a gorg bronzy bod!! LOVE IT!! I was a little freaked out at first becasue of how dark the mousse itself was, but whatev, I just went for it. This morning I woke up to a kickin' "tan", and best of all, no streaks and I didn't reek of self tanner. On a scale of 10, I definitely give this an 11!! A+++++++

While I will always stay true to Model Co., St. Tropez has a little bit of an edge because of it's yummy smell :0)

excited about my elliptical

Monday, already?

We had friends over last night for a little BBQ. Always a fun time with Eddie and Michelle. They left around 10:30, but by the time I cleaned up the kitchen, loaded and unloaded the dishwasher, made my lunch and took a shower, it was close to 11:30. Not for nothin' but this little lady is tired today. Is it 3pm yet?

Sunday Funday.

My elliptical was purchased. Me happy.

After a trip to Leisure Fitness yesterday, this is the elliptical I ended up going with {below}. It's a Precor EFX 5.23. Like I told you in my earlier post, I HATE handle bars on ellipticals. They're totally useless as far as I'm concerned. Even the guy at Leisure Fitness said they don't really add anything to your workouts. The downside of getting this specific precor model is that we had to special order it and the wait time is three weeks. BUMMER!  Oh well, just another thing I have to look forward too. While we were scoping out the equipment at Leisure Fitness, Stu ended up getting a home gym. I don't know who will use it more, me or him totally me. Double score. Mission accomplished. It was a great day!

be the first in the door to my pwp event

As you know, my goal in life is to pump out Pampered With Paige events like it's nobody's business (haha). It's been over 2 years since my last extravaganza. Two years! I can't officially announce this ON AIR until next week, however, you are my beloved blog reader, and I feel as though you should get first dibs on the guest list. Sound good??

Info I need from you: FULL NAME {this means first and last}, you and your friends must be OVER 21, and we need a contact #. No number no entry. Got it???

Now watch.

making room for my new toy

Morning gorgeous!

I'm pulling the trigger and getting an elliptical. It's time to switch things up a little. Don't get me wrong, I love running and spinning, but honestly, I'm getting bored. I don't know how else to put it. I'm just blahhh about it all. I'm looking forward to resuming sessions with my trainer Patty this week. She is a doll. I don't know what's up with me lately though. I eat clean, workout, and still can't seem to budge from this annoying plateau I've hit, Something has to give. Last weekend I went to the NAC and did 50 mins on the elliptical and I have to say, it was a nice change. I hate ellipticals with handle bars. Who uses them anyway? They're annoying, bulky and get in my way. The only model elliptical I can see myself getting is the Precor EFX 546. Most gyms have this model and I love it. We've done some research, and today I'm going to Leisure Fitness to check it out in person.

Speaking of fitness. Have you seen Jillian on the cover of Redbook (July issue)?

LOVE LOVE LOVE her

{but you already knew that}

Jillian-michaels-redbook-july-2010

Have you hit a plateau? What are you doing {if anything} to switch things up??

For the past 2 weeks, one major change I've made is to drink at least 1 liter of water before I get off the air at 3pm. The water has definitely curbed my appetite and has kept me feeling full longer. I'm not eating any less, in fact I think I may not be eating enough and that's why I can't drop the 11 lbs I've gained since January. My body is probably holding onto the fat it does have because it thinks I'm starving, which I'm obviously not. Who freaking knows. These are all questions I have to ask Patty.

Side note:

I do realize that I've gained muscle, so to say I've "gained" 11 lbs would be incorrect. I take that back. I've put on legitimately at least 5 unwanted lbs. No biggie. I just need to tweak some stuff and I'll be back on track.
