I've had the most relaxing past three days. Hope yours have been low key and chill. I so LOVE having my mom, nan, and mother-in-law here for the holidays. I had a wonderful Christmas. My favorite present was a Keurig! Santa brought Stu a watch, messenger bag, zune, and John Mayer tix. He was a happy camper. Santa brought me a new purse (big hobo from coach's Brook collection). I love it, especially the hardware. It's big chunky gold. I got 2 pair of seven jeans, and some of running stuff. YAY. I loved watching my family open their gifts. We got my mom a new camera and my mother-in-law (aka mom2) tix to see West Side Story. Nan got lottery tix. She LOVES the scratch offs. All in all we had a fabulous holiday. The only thing we missed was my sis and bro (and Lenny too).
Here some pic's from the past couple of days. Enjoy.
Christmas Eve with the kids
Christmas day cinnamon applesauce muffins made by mom 2
Nana loves her lottery tickets. She won $21!!
Christmas Day. Look how fancy Nana and mom look. They are hot cougers ready to pounce. Grrrrrr. I look like a slob. Whooofc. Christmas day is all about loungin', plus I'm married, who am I trying to impress?? LOL.
Nan looks like a poinsettia. Spiffy outfit. Again she's a HOT single 88 y/o on the prowl. Nan has some special requirements that have to be met if you want to be her boo. First off: no canes, all real teeth, no depends, and definitely NO droolers. It's okay if you're in a nursing home as long as you have money and not on TITLE 19. That's not too much to ask, what do you think?? HAHAHA!!
Best gift ever. I love this thing!! Ba-bye Mr. Coffee. Hello Keurig.
Let the coffee brewing begin. Btw, I ordered a ton of sample packs from Keurig.com. All dessert flavored coffee of course. YUM!
Stu and I cooked Christmas dinner. He made his famous cheese stuffed chicken and it did not disappoint. We also had asparagus. rice, and a big beautiful salad. Deelish. Dessert was strawberry shortcake.
Today we're going to the mall to exchange stuff and take advantage of the major after Christmas sales.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE DAY!!!
I've been up since the crack running around like a crazy woman. I carved out time to see my friend Danielle, so that was nice. Nothing better than a 9am coffee meet up. We met at Starbs and had egg nog mistos and exchanged gifts. She got me the sweetest reindeer tart burner and a huge dark chocolate bar. It's 80% dark. LOVE that!! Next was a mad dash into Super Fresh for some last minute snacks. Then, the highlight of my day: my Christmas blow out! Linds put a toner on and blew out my hair nice and big. I look fierce!! Now, off to a mani, then to Pier 1 for seat cushions. I still have to change the sheets in guest rooms and do a quick vacume. Damn, I foresee a glass of Bully Red happening around 4pm. Dinner is at Seasons 52.
Fingers crossed my mom makes it. Her and nana set out on the road at 11, and so far no frantic phone calls yet (knock on wood).
Alright, off to continue my crazy day!
Have a great one!!

I made more chewy oatmeal scotchies. I also ate three as soon as they came out of the oven. Good thing I ran this morning. Between the oats I had for breakfast and these sugar laden cookies, no more carbs for me. I'm cut off.
These babies are the best cookies I've ever made. Not to mention, they're easy as hell to make.
the Christmas cards keep coming.
Phoebe and Miles enjoyed the left over cookie mix. As you can see, carbs make Miles sleepy :0)
Phoebs is still hoping for more cookie dough.
Alright, off to KOP, then dinner with friends. Have a fantastic evening.
MERRY CHRISTMAS FRIENDS!!!!

It's the first day of my vacation and I couldn't be happier. I got up super early and went for a fun 5 miler on my t-mill. I'm about to bang out emails and stuff while I have some time to myself. I love the early morning hours when I don't have to rush. Ahhhh....
Breakfast was over-night oats. I added pumpkin, almond butter, brown sugar, and sugar free syrup to the mix. This is a great carb loaded breakfast to have before a run. I am full!
We're going to kop later to finish up our Christmas shopping and then meeting our friends' Jim and Cynth for some din din.
Here are some more random but recent pic's from Dallas.
yummy fresh sugar cookies at the hotel. Look, they're little Texas cut outs
Here's the apple tart that was waiting for us when we got to our room. It was deeeelsih.
A bottle of Riesling that my awesome husband had waiting for me when we got to our room. He's the best.
posing in front of the holiday decor in the lobby of our hotel.
we really liked this sofa table apparently.
My new find- Bully Hill Banty Red. I had 3 glasses the other night. Opps.
Alright, off to wrap and get ready for the day. Have a great Wednesday.

I'm so late with this. Sorry. Glenn was on Leno last Friday. We missed it because we were on the plane to Dallas. Stu and I are just now getting around to watching.

I LOVE THIS SONG! Plus, I'm a fan of Cascada, and her version Of "Last Christmas" is a million times better than Ashley Tisdale's re-make. How cute is she? Kinda resembles Carrie Underwood a little.
CUTE!

Happy Tuesday!
Vacation mode is ON. Only a few hours left until I'm off til 2010. HOOORAY!! This has been one hell of a year. I feel so blessed.
Last night was really nice. It was the first time all month I was able to relax. We picked up Stu's car and on the way home I made him stop at a Wine and Spirits store. I found two new Rieslings and a sweet red. As soon as we got home I poured myself the merlot, and wow, it was tasty. Three glasses later, and a Hallmark Channel movie, lp was feeling good. I do believe at one point I spoke to my sister, who asked several times if I was buzzed. Answer was yes. HAHA. At 11pm I wanted to drive around the neighborhoods and check out the Christmas lights. We were lucky that so many people had them on being that it was so late. Phoebs and Miles even came along for the ride. It was nice and just what I needed. Ahhh, vacation is the best.
I have to cut a ton of voice work after my shift and then I'm heading up to mid-town. There's this one pashmina stand that sells the best scarves for $10. I want to buy a bunch to give as Christmas presents. Who doesn't love a great scarf? If you're coming to NY, rush over to the corner of 46th and 6th (I think). Good stuff!
We're having dinner with Chris tonight. This nice article about him in the Observer deserves a celebration dinner. BTW, Chris is single, but I have to approve all potential candidates. :0) I'm looking to eat somewhere around Rockefeller center. I want to eat and see the tree :0) Know of any good places??
We're braving the KOP mall tomorrow for last minute shopping. I know, we're crazy. Something about the hustle and bustle of it all excites me though. Hopefully we can meet up with Cynthia, Jim and little Trey for some lunch. We're gonna need a break after our intense shopping excursion.
How are things going on your end?? Any crazy Christmas stories you want to share??
